Mary's Parish is the parish on the east side of the river Shannon in the town of Athlone, Co. We are in the diocese of Ardagh & Clonmacnois: we have two churches - St. Mary’s in the centre of the town and Our Lady, Queen of Peace on the outskirts in Coosan. Both our churches remain open each day for personal prayer during these. Mary’s: March 13-14. Juan Diego: February 27-28 and March 27-28. You can also make an appointment to shop! Our smoke-free Bingo is held every Tuesday at 6:30pm in Marian Hall. Helpers are always needed and appreciated to work the Bingo either on the floor as sellers of Instant Bingo or in the kitchen. Kitchen helpers work one Tuesday every other month (six times a year). Revenue generated from the Bingo assists the parish in paying our assessments to our Catholic School.

Holy Water is Available!
For safety reasons, Holy Water is not available in the church vestibule. However, we have Holy Water available in the Parish Office at St. Mary’s and the Church Office at St. Juan Diego.
